Clinical Implementation Manager
Monica joined Michigan OPEN in September 2017, after completion of the Michigan Surgical & Health Optimization Program (MSHOP) grant under Dr. Englesbe. MSHOP focused on empowering high risk surgical patients to partner in their care by training for their scheduled surgeries, thereby impacting their post-operative outcomes.
Monica earned a BA in Psychology from University of Michigan, a BS in Nursing from Wayne State University and a Master’s in Administration with a healthcare concentration from Central Michigan University. Her work experience has been predominantly in emergency and pre and postoperative care, with several years in nurse management prior to joining Michigan Medicine.
Monica’s focus will be in blending her work experience and educational background to support the clinical implementation of Michigan OPEN’s findings.
