Student Research Assistants
She is currently a junior at the University of Michigan studying Public Health (B.S.) and minoring in Spanish. She hopes to continue her education by attending medical school after graduation. Reem is happy to be a part of the amazing Michigan OPEN team as we work to study and combat the opioid epidemic.
Holli is an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan studying Mathematical Biology in hopes to pursue a career in medicine. At Michigan OPEN, she surveys patients to better understand pain management and opioid consumption after surgery on various QI projects. She’s also involved in the bi-yearly take-back events to help recruit, spread awareness, and remove unused opioids from the community. Holli is grateful to be taking part in removing such a crisis from our Healthcare system and community.
She is a junior at the University of Michigan studying Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and hopes to pursue a career in medicine. She is grateful to work alongside such a great Michigan OPEN team to make a difference fighting the opioid epidemic.
She is a junior studying Public Health (B.S.) at the University of Michigan. After graduation she hopes to have a career either in medical research or as a medical laboratory technician. She is excited to be a part of Michigan OPEN to help protect our communities from the opioid epidemic.
She is a freshman studying Psychology at the University of Michigan- Dearborn with an aim for medical school. She is passionate about bridging the gap between emotional and physical well being in the healthcare industry, hence her interest in Michigan OPEN’s mission. She is excited to learn more about transforming healthcare to become more holistic, empathetic, and targeted.
He is a freshman studying economics at the University of Michigan. He hopes to have a career in either fiscal or public health policy after graduation. He is excited to work with M-OPEN to help our healthcare system better serve Michigan communities.
Gap Year Research Assistants
She works with the Quality Improvement Team to help develop studies and initiatives and recruit patients to participate in quality improvement and research studies. She received her B.S in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan in 2020. She plans to attend medical school after she receives her MBA from Wayne State University. Sam is excited to help Michigan OPEN make a difference and make a positive impact on the opioid epidemic.
