Lauren, D. Oshman, M.D., M.P.H., FAAFP
Dr. Lauren Oshman is a family physician and associate professor in the University of Michigan Department of Family Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She sees patients at the Chelsea Health Center and delivers babies at U-M’s Von Voightlander Women’s Hospital. She is also the program director of the Michigan Collaborative for Type 2 Diabetes (www.mct2d.org(link is external)),. Dr. Oshman enjoys taking care of patients from newborn to elderly and helping all patients achieve their best health. She graduated from Baylor College of Medicine (2003) and completed residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, NY (2007). She completed the Cook County Faculty Development Fellowship in Chicago, Ill. (2014) and NorthShore University HealthSystem Quality and Patient Safety Fellowship in Chicago, Ill. (2016). Prior to joining the University of Michigan in 2020, she practiced for five years in Concord, New Hampshire, then as residency faculty and Vice-Chair for Quality at NorthShore University Health System in Chicago, Ill. Dr. Oshman enjoys long distance running, mindfulness meditation, and spending time with her family and dog. Dr. Oshman speaks conversational Spanish.
