Community Naloxone Kit Distribution
Naloxone (Narcan®) is a lifesaving medication that rapidly and temporarily reverses the effects of an opioid overdose. Providing low-barrier access to naloxone allows people who use substances and the broader community to be prepared for an overdose emergency.
OPEN provides free naloxone rescue kits for organizations for the following purposes:
- Staff first aid kits
- Distribution to participants of naloxone training sessions
- Distribution to community members during an event (e.g. conference, resource fair, etc.)
