Chad Brummett, MD

Dr. Chad Brummett is the Senior Associate Chair for Research of the University of Michigan Department of Anesthesiology, a Co-Director for the Opioid Research Institute (ORI), and an Executive Clinical Director for the Overdose Prevention Engagement Network (OPEN). Dr. Brummett has made major contributions to the fields of anesthesiology and pain medicine, with over 300 combined publications covering both topics. At OPEN, his efforts touch all aspects of our work from preventing substance-related harms through the creation and dissemination of educational resources to our opioid prescribing recommendations for surgery and dentistry.
