Free Continuing Education Opportunities Available
Michigan OPEN has four free continuing education opportunities available through our website. View the program flyers and descriptions below.
“Perioperative Pain Management & Care Coordination” provides learners with three continuing medical education credits. This course is targeted toward primary care providers, Advanced Practice Providers and residents. It is self-paced and satisfies the Michigan licensure requirement for Pain and Symptom Management.
“Impacting the Opioid Crisis: Prevention, Education, and Practice for Non-Prescribing Providers” offers learners 15 continuing education credits and is a self-paced online course. This course is for non-prescribing providers and other health care professionals, and it equips learners with the tools to impact the opioid epidemic and create change.

“Pain Management in Dentistry” provides three continuing dental education credits and is designed for Michigan-based dental providers with active DEA licenses. This course is self-paced and consists of three narrated modules that will teach learners about dental pain management and responsible opioid prescribing in dentistry.
