RECOMMENDED RESOURCES

OPEN has compiled a list of other educational offerings for providers to choose from to meet their training needs. These trainings are free and align with the DEA SUD training requirements.

Pri-Med Pri-Med provides a compilation of free, CME/CE courses that can be taken in any combination to fulfill the new SUD 8-hour required training for providers.
The American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine The American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine put together a list of free, online trainings and webinars that count towards the new SUD training requirements.
**American Medical Association Ed HubThe AMA Ed Hub offers educational activities that count towards the new 8-hour SUD requirement. Topics include
basics of safe opioid prescribing and management; basics of addiction treatment; management of addiction in special populations; opioids and fatalities: prevention and management; and addiction medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic.
**The American Society of Addiction MedicineThe ASAM provides approved CE recommendations that meet DEA requirements for SUD training.
**American College of Physicians The American College of Physicians has provided a list of featured CME trainings and FAQs regarding the new DEA requirements.
**American Academy of Physician AssociatesThe American Academy of Physician Associates has put together information regarding the new SUD legislature for PA’s.
**American Academy of Anesthesiologists The American Academy of Anesthesiologists provides this enduring material opportunity, up to 12.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(s) for providers to meet the DEA 8-hour training requirement.
**American Association of Nurse PractitionersThe American Association of Nurse Practitioners offers a variety of training courses that count towards the new DEA SUD requirements for NP’s.
