Emergency Department Naloxone Implementation Guide Now Available

The Michigan OPEN/MEDIC team has made their Emergency Department Naloxone Implementation Guide available to download. This guide is designed to facilitate the creation and execution of naloxone distribution programs in emergency departments.

Emergency departments are a key access point for health care and can help identify people who are at risk for opioid overdose. This guide aims to reduce barriers to education, training and resources that can lower the number of opioid-related mortalities in the ED.
