Brooke is a clinical information analyst for the Overdose Prevention Engagement Network (OPEN) and for Dr. Akbar Waljee through the Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE) at the University of Michigan. She holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan. At OPEN, she applies her expertise in statistics, population health, and clinical data to investigate complex questions related to opioid prescribing and the broader impact of substance use. She supports academic research through the preparation and interpretation of data using, contributing to the development of manuscripts and presentations. She is grateful for the opportunity to support initiatives aimed to halt the opioid epidemic and to ultimately improve care for patients in the state of Michigan.
At CGHE, Brooke supports interdisciplinary efforts to advance health equity in low- and middle-income countries through collaborative data analysis and research. In this role, she conducts in-depth analyses of clinical and performance data, assists in data management for global health studies, and helps move forward the Center’s mission to prevent disease and improve health worldwide.
