The OPEN Warmline is a same-day telehealth clinic offering evaluation and treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD) for Michigan residents. We serve individuals on a short-term basis, providing treatment and linkage to local long-term care.

How Does the Warmline Work?

When a patient calls into the Warmline, a telehealth assessment is conducted by a licensed Michigan medical provider from Packard Health in Ann Arbor. Buprenorphine products (most commonly buprenorphine-naloxone) are prescribed when clinically appropriate.

  • Prescriptions are submitted electronically after the telehealth visit
  • Medications to support withdrawal management are also prescribed in many cases
  • Typical duration of prescription is up to 2 weeks, depending on clinical assessment
  • Every prescription includes complete provider information, NPI, and DEA number
