What is Naloxone and How Does it Work?

Naloxone is a life-saving medicine that is used to reverse opioid overdoses. 

Naloxone has been safely used by medical professionals since 1971.

Naloxone is the generic name, but its brand name is Narcan® nasal spray.

It comes in two forms- (1) intranasal spray, and (2) intramuscular injection/shot.
